OMAHA HIKE

A special thanks to all of the participants of the 2007 Omaha Hike.  Participants hiked 6.5 miles from Lewis & Clark Middle School located at 6901 Burt St, through Memorial Park and end at the Heartland of America Park located at 8th & Douglas.   

2007 marked the first year for the Omaha Hike and the hike made a wonderful impact, raising $4,356.80.  This amount contributed to the $26,607.80 raised nationwide by participants on 3 successful hike events.  These efforts funded 332 tents which can provide shelter for more than 1,500 persons displaced from the comfort and security of their homes by conflict and violence.

The 2008 Omaha Hike is not yet scheduled but planned for the fall of 2008.
