Hike to Help Refugees, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, has been educating communities about and raising funds for UNHCR since 2002. Our dedicated community of volunteers from Nebraska and Iowa exists to support the humanitarian work of the United Nations Refugee Agency which provides protection, shelter, food, water, sanitation and medical care to more than 34 million refugees world wide.
Hikers obtain sponsors to help raise money for refugees. This year's event is September 10-16. Participants hike a day, weekend or full week.

The Tango!
Learn it...Perform it...Party it...
The Tango is a fundraiser, sponsored by Hike to Help Refugees. 100% of donations are used by UNHCR to provide emergency relief. Participants first learn the Tango from some of Nebraska’s best dancers and teachers, then perform the dance in Omaha’s Old Market, accepting donations for their talents.
This event brings together the artistry of the Tango and the camaraderie of good friends, good fun, and good deeds. To support or participate please contact Marty Hebert at
